COACH / PERSONAL TRAINER
Health, fitness and wellbeing have always played a vital part in my life. My mum, being a single parent, thought it would be a cracking idea to get me involved in sport from a very early age (probably to keep me out of trouble). I started Karate at the age of 5 and my passion for sport and fitness spiralled from there.
I’ve been fortunate to have taken part in a numerous amount of sports ranging from speed skating, martial arts, rugby, athletics and everything in between. I knew in order to excel in these endeavours I had to do more than just part take. That’s where fitness and training came into play. I started weight training at a very early age, at around the age of 14, and not knowing much, I knew in order to better myself I needed to do some homework.
I became fascinated in how the body works and it has subsequently become my life. My passion for this lead me to study at degree level in sports and exercise science but to further my knowledge and passion I went on to do my master’s degree in physiology. After this I have also gone onto become a personal trainer to put my knowledge into practice.
Since being a member of CrossFit I have learnt a lot about my own body and its capabilities. It’s also taught me new ways to help me improve as an athlete and coach. I would love the opportunity to help you do the same.
So if you have any questions regarding how the body works, utilises nutrients and or how energy systems work and what they do, please feel free to ask.
